Subject: Great interview!!!
It's always been amazing to me how the first initial reaction of those who are part of cults is to get defensive. It's also amazing how one fellow reviewer comments how Bailey is not exalted above Jesus yet I see Bailey's name being mentioned and exalted more than Jesus. First off, if scripture is to be used to back up one's statement then scripture must be interpreted within its proper context. And the scriptures being quoted by one reviewer are unfortunately misquoted and misused out of context for the purpose of justifying man-centered worship. Yes, God used man but God never shared His glory with ANY man nor did He use man as a physical substitute. The scripture quoted concerning the Comforter, the "HE" is the Holy Spirit, not a man. When a man was/is used by God it is to merely represent God the Saviour and not meant for man to be "a" saviour or "the "saviour" and Bailey is NOT ANYONE'S saviour! According to the comments I've read and from a brother I know personally who is currently a member and who has shared with me some of the practices that are taught and exercised in the UHOP (and began questioning those practices, might I add), there is great contrast between the UHOP and the character of Christ. Let's look at some of those contrasts according to the Scriptures: That title "Saviour" belongs to Jesus Christ alone because Jesus is God in the flesh and was the ONLY one who is without sin. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Bailey is a mere and sinful man just like everyone else. Jesus said, "I AM the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through ME" (John 14:6). Acts 4:12 also says, "Salvation is found in NO ONE else, for there is NO OTHER NAME under heaven given to mankind by which we must be SAVED.” 1 Timothy 2:5 says, "For there is one God and ONE mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus". So why is Bailey deemed as a Saviour when we don't need anymore Saviours. Is not Jesus Christ sufficient enough? I understand UHOP's prayers end with "In the name of Jesus through Daddy Bailey" when Jesus Christ is the name above ALL names. Since when did Jesus need a co-signer for answering prayers? And as far as calling this cat "Daddy", Jesus said, " And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father (God), and he (God) is in heaven (Matthew 23:9). And Paul used the term "little children" but where in scripture did Paul ever suggest or demand the people call him "father" or "daddy"? A true father knows his children by name, has an intimate relationship with them, and provides and supports the needs of his children. Bailey more than likely doesn't know majority of his members exist. But you call him "daddy" right? Even pimps knows the names of the hookers hitting up the block for him. Jesus stated that he came TO serve and not TO BE served. Jesus is the King of Kings yet he rode a donkey. Bailey, however, rides a chariot with four dudes carry him and two women waving fans on him if he gets hot. But yet Bailey is called a "servant of God"? Looks more like being SERVICED rather than SERVING. WOW, what a contrast! Bailey is a celebrity among his members, yet Jesus was hated by His own. Jesus gave His life for our sins, yet Bailey receives the good life from people giving their hard-earned money. Jesus rose from the dead, yet when the other three "daddys" died they never came back and so will Bailey when his number gets called. So will the real Saviour stand up? The unanimous decision belongs to our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ. Holla at me when Bailey sheds blood, is beating beyong recognition, crucified, and rises again in three days. Love yall!!

I might be young and not really fully understand you to 100%, but I just would like to know why do you care what we do in the The United House of Prayer for All People. Sure what we do and practice might seem weird to you ,but to the members of the House of Prayer it's normal. You might practice things different at your church ,but at the end of the day we are all going to be in Heaven to see the lord. Also there were a couple of things that bother me with this interview... 1.) the fact that you to seemed to giggle at our beliefs. 2.) That you think our Bishop rules over all Christians. What I know is that our Bishop Daddy Bailey is helping us to become better Christians ,so we can one day go to Heaven. Once again I am a young person and this review is only how I felt and what I know. Last I would like to Thank you for sharing your experience and opinion of the The United House of Prayer for All People.

Subject: Plain And Simple!
No Disrespect To This Opinion, But Did Not
ISIAH 56:7 Say,
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

So ya'll basically disrespecting god by disrespecting his house. So I think ya'll need to study a lot more.

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” —Matthew 7:21-23

Subject: When You Don't Know...
Romans 10:2-3

"For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God"

First of all, let address the "exhopmember." There's a difference in being brainwashed and being dedicated and faithful to a cause that has proven to be naturally and spiritually beneficial. It's just unfortunate that your level of faithfulness and dedication wouldn't allow you to see that.

There's so much I could say to dispute and rebuttal each point of this perspective, but, there’s not much need. It’s not surprising that people who have not been “chosen” to see this great faith for what it truly is would have such a negative and opposing point of view. It’s for this reason that the people that opposed Jesus and decided to put him to death did so primarily because they couldn’t see pass the flesh. Though he performed miracles and mighty acts of God right before their very eyes, they could not accept him as the Messiah or the Son of God because he walked the earth just as they did – a natural man. Just as with the Kingdom of God, you cannot understand or accept the House of Prayer looking with the natural eye. “One Leader as the Ruler of the Kingdom of God” refers to God’s Kingdom in the House of Prayer faith for which there is only one Leader. Don’t get it misconstrued, Daddy is not exalted above God or Jesus as Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone of the House of Prayer faith, but when you thank God for something, you have to recognize and honor what that something is. The expectancy is that people that hear the word “Daddy” being used in the House of Prayer (whether mentioned or sung) would think that it’s referring to the bishop, but there is a more spiritual meaning behind the term that is not fully understood until it has been spiritually revealed, which only comes from God through fasting, praying and a desire for the knowledge of the truth. No doubt, there were those in the days of Apos. Peter and Paul that criticized them for being spiritual leaders and/or “fathers,” as Paul would often refer to his followers as “Dear Children,” making him a “Father” or “Daddy” to the people. When, in fact, Peter was given the power and the keys to the kingdom (“New” testament by the way). After the departure of Jesus from the earth, they became a “comforter” to the Gentiles and all those that believed on Jesus (John 14:26 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you”). No doubt, those looking with a natural eye could not understand why the people reverenced a “man” so much. Even now, when the term “Daddy” is used, it doesn’t ‘refer to the bishop, but rather the sprit, power and knowledge of God placed in the man that gives him the ability to be God’s Servant and his Holy Comforter. Yes, the term “Savior” is often used to describe the “man” but the bible teaches us in James 5:20 “ Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.” That’s not to be confused with the “Savior of the World” but, a “Savior” none-the-less. So, to all those that may be confused or simply feel they have the required education and theological teachings enough to understand all the mysteries of God and His kingdom, and has the ability to judge the worship methods of mankind, please be assured that the House of Prayer is not a Cult, it’s just a group of baptized believers in Christ that gives high praises and honor to God for giving the people of this day a Savior, Prophet and Leader, just as those “New Testament” Prophets who came after Jesus (John 13:20 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me”). Not taking anything away from Jesus, but Jesus had a specific job to do, he was born for a specific purpose and when he died, he said his works were finished (John 17:4) and that he would send another Comforter to whom he consistently referred to in the book of John the 14th Chapter as a man (HE). When the “Daddy’s” of the House of Prayer are lifted, exalted and highly esteemed, those on the outside looking in may not completely understand, but there’s a reason beyond the natural eye for this level of thanks and praise that only those of the House of Prayer faith has been divinely favored to see.

Very interesting interview. Don't be intimadated by the previous responders because they are probably brainwashed members. However your interview was right on target and what you perceived was 100% correct. The United House of Prayer is a straight up CULT organization. You diffinately experienced a typical HOP service however i was impressed because you were not taken in by the Loud playing of the bands and the response from the members. Most people are so moved by the band activity that they miss what is really going on and that is all intentional and sad. I was born a member of the HOP for over 49 years. Ive been out now for 20 yrs and I would appreciate it if you would email me so we can further discuss this matter. thks

Subject: Where's the love?
This report is very interesting. Although, I'm left wondering what the point of it really is? It seems to me that it's just an opinion of those who went the a few services as a spectator and brought back what was gathered from "their" recollection and perspective. Did he ever ask anyone what was going on out of pure inquiry? Seems like if you really want to understand something that you have no understanding of, you'd seek understanding before placing judgement. He stated that he cried when he got home, but then turned around and put this report out as if to be bashing the faith. I don't see the christian love in that. Thanks and have a blessed one.
